Sandblasting is a method used to remove paint, rust and mill scale on surfaces such as structural steel, car parts, lawn furniture and wheels. We offer several different types of sandblasting including copper and coal slag to garnet, crushed glass, glass bead, steel grit, plastic, and even sand. We media blast for a less abrasive finish on more delicate items such as car bodies and thin metal. We also do wet "dustless" blasting for the most delicate parts.

The most important element of any coating project is surface preparation. Sandblasting completely removes surface imperfections such as rust, oxidation, paint and mill scale. It also etches the surface evenly. You need uniform surface roughness to achieve maximum bond of the coating. Different coatings require different levels of profile, which is controllable using various blast medias and air pressures. After our sandblasting process, we take all of our items to be coated through last step, an iron phosphate wash. This wash further cleans and seals the metal, significantly increasing adhesion and corrosion resistance. These are vital processes to achieve long lasting and durable powder coat finishes.
